Welcome to the GTN Show - this week we’re going to talk about our thoughts during racing and training to get the most out of ourselves. And it turns out we might all be doing it wrong! We’ve also got some answers to your questions this week, some pro bikes spotted and also some exciting race news. What goes through our minds as competitors is a very interesting topic...and what we think about to get the most out of ourselves in training, or a race, is even more interesting! We look at an interesting study to find out if we’ve all been getting it wrong… IRONMAN announces an acquisition of three events - Ironman has acquired three races from Revolution3 Triathlon (Rev3Tri). They will now own and operate IRONMAN 70.3 Connecticut, formerly Rev3 Quassy, IRONMAN 70.3 Virginia, formerly Rev3 Williamsburg and IRONMAN 70.3 Maine, which was a previously licensed event. Primoz Roglic’s TT Bike - We all love a new bike, and if you’ve been following the Tour of Britain over the past week then you may have noticed Primož Roglič’s bike he rode in stage five for the team time trial and helping them to the win. Putting him in the lead by 6 seconds. Well, he was riding the Bianchi Aquila CV TT bike in Bianchi’s famous colours. It also includes the brand’s proprietary Countervail anti-vibration technology, which originally developed for NASA. This is essentially the carbon fibre layout - it’s designed in a way to cancel vibrations whilst apparently increasing the stiffness and strength of the bike!
